Greetings from Thiagarajar College of Engineering!
Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai is a 58 years old government aided
autonomous institution, affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE and accredited by
NBA. The college offers 8 undergraduate, 13 post graduate and Doctoral Programs in
Engineering, Science and Architecture disciplines. Each department of the college has chosen a
theme area so as to synergize the research and development efforts of the faculty members and
students. The college has interfaced with many Indian and Multi-national companies such as
Honeywell, Yahoo, IBM, CISCO, Agilent Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant,
Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, HCL technologies and TVS motors, to carry out curriculum
development, faculty development, collaborative R and D projects, student internships and
placement. TCE has won five national awards in the AICTE-CII supported Best Industry linked
institutions national survey 2014 and 2015. The college has won the IMC Bajaj National Quality
Award and Asia Pacific Quality Award under education category for the year 2014.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is organizing TECUTHSAV-
EEE 2K16, a national level technical symposium on March 3rd, 2016. The objective of this
event is to bring out the technical potential of students of engineering colleges in all disciplines.
The theme for this year is Make in India. There are many events and workshops under this
theme with cash prizes (The details are enclosed herewith). We hope that TECUTHSAV-EEE
2K16 would inculcate an innovative approach in engineering students which would in turn help
them in serving the country. We sincerely believe that with the support of institutions such as
yours, who pay a great heed to innovation, we can make a difference.
